Sofia holds a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology, is certified in Imago Relationship Therapy, has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as numerous other professional trainings. Her approach is a blend of humanistic, attachment, developmental and solution-focused modalities. Helping individuals and couples to make positive, meaningful and lasting change in their lives is one of Sofia’s great passions. She supports individuals and couples who are straight, lesbian, gay, monogamous, polyamorous, and at all stages of life and relationships.

Sofia’s work is built on her professional training, but also her own personal experiences and suffering. She struggled as a teenager and young adult with depression, had panic attacks for twelve years, experienced PPD after the birth of her son, and went through a separation and near-divorce. She has learned much through her own healing work and feels honored to assist others on their journeys of self-growth and change.

Outside of the office, Sofia enjoys playing with her son, tango dancing with her husband, cooking, traveling, reading a variety of books, and spending time in nature around Portland, Oregon.
