Sofia holds a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology, is certified in Imago Relationship Therapy (Harville Hendrix), is completing her certification in Relational Life Therapy (Terry Real), has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (Sue Johnson), as well as numerous other professional trainings. Her approach is a blend of humanistic, attachment, developmental and solution-focused modalities. Helping people to make positive, meaningful and lasting change in their lives is one of Sofia’s great passions. She supports adolescents and adult individuals, couples/throuples/quads and all forms of intimate relationships who are straight, lesbian, gay, bi, trans, asexual, monogamous, polyamorous, queer, non-binary, or other forms of identity and expression, and at all stages of life.
Sofia’s work is built on her professional training, but also her own personal experiences and suffering. She struggled as a teenager and adult with depression, had panic attacks for twelve years, experienced PPD after the birth of her son, and went through a separation and near-divorce. She has learned much through her own healing work and feels honored to assist others on their journeys of self-growth and change.
Outside of the office, Sofia enjoys spending time with her family, singing, dancing, traveling, geeking out on psych and spiritual books, learning new things and spending time in nature around Portland, Oregon.
