About Sofia
Sofia is passionate about understanding the human psyche, personal growth, and helping people to create positive, lasting, and meaningful change in their relationships and lives.

Sofia’s work is built on her professional training, but also her own personal experiences and suffering. She struggled as a teenager and adult with depression, had panic attacks for twelve years, experienced PPD after the birth of her daughter, and went through a separation and divorce. She has learned much through her own healing work and feels honored to assist others on their journeys of self-growth and change. She deeply believes that our challenges become our strengths and help us to treasure being alive.

Training & Approach
Sofia holds a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Psychology, is a Certified Relational Life Therapy Coach (Terry Real), a Certified Imago Relationship Community Facilitator (Hendrix & La Hunt), and has advanced training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (Sue Johnson). She has additional training in Bader-Pearson’s Developmental Model, in Assessing and Treating Sexual Issues with Martha Kauppi, as well as numerous other professional trainings.
Her approach is a blend of humanistic, attachment, developmental, and solution-focused modalities. She supports adults, families, couples+ and groups. Sofia welcomes all forms of consensual intimate relationships, and values working with LGBTQAI+, poly, non-binary, cis, and other forms of identity and expression.
Sofia is always seeking the latest knowledge in the field, participating in professional learning opportunities, and continually developing her skills and capacities in her work. She is currently a Board Member with Existential-Humanistic Northwest.
